Happy Father's Day

Daddy had a good father's day. He went golfing last weekend on Father's Day and then this weekend he went to a Cubs/Sox game in Chicago.

Every once in a while Emily will suck her thumb....maybe we have another thumb sucker? She is starting to get strong enough to sit in the bumbo chair!

We got a new kiddie pool and Charlotte and Jackson got in it the other night even though we had just filled it up and it was very cold. I think Charlotte's lips got a little blue, but they had fun.

It has been really hot this week so the pool really came in handy!!

Neighborhood Pool

We went to the neighborhood pool with Jamie, Tim, and Charlotte. I am going to try to post more pictures of Charlotte per Jane Hunt's request!! Both Charlotte and Jackson are great swimmers and love the pool. Emily just likes being outside....

Trip to Buffalo Wild Wings

I came home from work to find that Emily had been dressed in a hat by the girls next door. It reminds me of Little House on the Prarie.

Emily went to BW3's with us the other night and she slept right through all the noise and activity. I tried to rock her to sleep the other day and she cried....all she wants now is to be laid down and she goes to sleep on her own.

3 months old

Emily is 3 months old tomorrow. Time flies! Here are some random pictures Tyler took the other day.

Big Brother loves his sister

Right now, while Emily shares her toys and does not try to take his, Jackson really loves his sister. He likes to crawl under her activity mat with her and play.

Jackson's summer

Jackson's summer is off to a good start (other than the fact that mommy had to go back to work). He went swimming 3 times this past weekend.... He helped daddy mow the yard...

He eats ice cream like it is going out of style.....

and he loves corn on the cob. We went to Josh and Amanda's house for dinner on Saturday and he really liked eating corn! Josh and Amanda say he is an odd child since he will eat salad, tomatoes, and carrots before anything else on his dinner plate.

Mommy's Day Off

I went back towork (yes, full time) the day after labor day. Our department was closed last Friday for a computer upgrade so I got to spend another full day with Jack and Emily.

Emily sat patiently in the stroller while Jackson played at the playground.

Here is my new "limo" stroller. Emily can sit in the seat or her car seat and Jackson can sit or stand at the back. They both love it and daddy really likes it since he doesn't have to come on as many walks...mommy can now push both of them by herself! I should've gotten this a long time ago, but I had a hard time making up my mind which one to get.

Camping Trip

We went camping again this weekend. It was nice enough to put Emily in some sundresses. I'm finally getting the hang of dressing a girl.... She slept outside in her stroller a lot. Look at those thighs!

It is about 2 1/2 hours to the campground and both kids do a great job in the car. Rarely do I have to sit in the back seat except to feed Emily a bottle. I looked back at one point and saw Jackson holding Emily's hand!

2 Months Old

Our sweet girl turned 2 months old last week. She had her doctors appointment today and is a very healthy baby. She is in the 97th percentile for height at 24 inches long and is off the charts for weight at 14 lbs 3 oz.

She has started sleeping for 7 1/2 to 8 hours straight which is good since mommy has to go back to work soon! Since mommy is still at home, she goes right back to sleep after her morning bottle and sleeps another 2-3 hours! We are lucky to have been blessed with good sleepers!

Jamie and Charlotte just dropped off the next batch of hand me down clothes for Emily to wear the next few months....we are so lucky to have such great family with such great taste in clothes to share with us! I have yet to buy a thing...and that's saying a lot with a baby girl to dress! If Jamie and Tim's next baby is a boy we'll have to return the favor! Time will tell!

She is cooing and smiling a lot now. She has her fussy moments like any baby, but mommy can figure out pretty quickly what she needs.

The doctor was impressed with how well she holds her head up. Her neck muscles are very strong....almost ready for her bumbo seat!

For now she loves her swing, bouncy seat, and activity mat. We keep watching and waiting for her to find her thumb like big brother, Jack, but so far she seems to like the pacifier more.

Another Playdate with Piper

We went to Jamie's house to see Heather and Piper. They came down from Bluffton to spend the day with us. The girls are growing so fast!

Zoo trip

We went to the zoo on Friday with Jamie, Charlotte, Megan, and Carol Stanton. We had a great time.

Jackson got to feed the giraffe at the zoo. He let Megan take him so mommy could take pictures and stay with Emily. She slept in her stroller most of the time.

Charlotte came over the other day for some playtime and ice cream...we had to have the ice cream outside since they both get very messy!
